Yumi Yoshimura is the deuteragonist as well as one of the main protagonists (alongside Ami Onuki). She is the pessimist contrasting Ami's optimistic outlook on life and serves as the voice of reason for Ami, who tends to be impulsive and childish, those traits which Yumi is often annoyed by. She lives in a tour bus with Ami and their manager, Kaz Haruda and she and the former are well-known rock stars across the world. Yumi is known for being a gothic tomboy, being interested in activities and interests that are meant for boys.

- When Ami took some desperate measures to get a certain bunny toy, Yumi eventually does her a favor and trades her favorite guitar to someone in exchange for the very object that Ami yearns, so she can complete her collection in order to put an end to her obsessive antics for a time.
- During a dance competition, Ami is injured from tripping and couldn't continue, Yumi goes solo by using her rock star dance moves to excite the crowd enough to help them win the dance-off.
- She saved the tour bus and Kaz from being bowled over by a ball of taffy she and Ami accidentally created.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Most of her heroics are generic to say the least.
- She has several jerkish moments and carries a very aggressive side, especially when she became a ninja, and had needlessly hurt other people.
- She can be quite arrogant at various points.
