  • Him and Lucas decided to take some fireworks in order to fight the creature, despite Max Mayfield disagreeing with the idea.
  • Alongside his friends, he helped stop the Mind Flayer at the Starcourt Mall, by throwing the fireworks he bought earlier towards the Mind Flayer.
    • By doing this, he helped in saving Hawkins, and eventually the world.

Season 4[]

  • He helped Eleven clean up her diorama when Angela broke it, which is more admirable due to Eleven being an outcast who nobody at school likes.
  • He and Mike helped get the wounded Harmon into Argyle's car.
  • Alongside Mike, Argyle and Jonathan, he searched for Eleven when she was taken by Hawkins officials.
  • Alongside Mike, Argyle and Jonathan, he helped Eleven create a bathtub sensory deprivation tank by using a pizza dough freezer, in order to stop Vecna from California.
    • By doing this, he helped in reviving Max from being killed by Vecna and greatly injuring him, saving most of Hawkins from him.

  • He helped rescue children from the military in order to not be kidnapped by Vecna, although they failed to.
  • He saved Mike, Lucas and Robin Buckley from the Demogorgons, by using his psychic powers to twist their limbs and kill them.
  • At the suggestion of Joyce, he willingly tapped back into the hive mind using a resuscitated Demogorgon in order to find Vecna and do to him was his did to the Demogorgons, even though this put him in a lot of danger. He successfully found Vecna, took control of him, broke his legs, and told Max (and by extension Holly) to run, saving both of their lives.
  • He traveled into the Abyss with his friends to save the children kidnapped by Vecna.
  • After discovering the hidden truth about Vecna's past, he tried to get Vecna to turn against the Mind Flayer, but Vecna proves to be too irrevocably corrupted by the Mind Flayer.
  • Having let go of his fears, he restrained Vecna for Eleven to land a fatal blow, saving her life in the process.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]

  • While consistently assisting the heroes in stopping the threats from Upside Down who endanger the entire world, allows him to pass the baseline and has no corrupting factors, he fails the admirable standards too much to other heroes such as the rest of the Party, Jonathan, Nancy or Steve who directly endanger themselves to stop monsters multiple times or make a noble sacrifice, not helping that he has higher resources than the most due to his psychic abilities.
