“ | All my life, I've learned from great warriors. I learned from a mother who never stopped fighting for her family. I learned from her sister, who's honestly a little bit annoying, but amazingly fearless and headstrong. But most of all, I've learned from the greatest warrior in the entire galaxy, who taught me that real warriors wouldn't exist if not for those who came before them, showed them the way, and never stopped fighting, no matter how hard the battle became. That's why I never would've found my greatest strength, my true power, without my friend, Knuckles the Echidna. | „ |
~ Wade demonstrating his learning to his father, Pete Whipple. |
Wade Whipple is a supporting character in Paramount Pictures' Sonic the Hedgehog film series and the deuteragonist of the Paramount+ spin-off series Knuckles. He is a fellow police officer of Green Hills, and Tom Wachowski's best friend.
He is portrayed by Adam Pally.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
In General[]
- While characters like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are more admirable, they have stronger resources so he can’t be compared to them.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
- He attempts to hide Tom Wachowski from Dr. Robotnik.
- He stands up to Dr. Robotnik and warns him not to mess with Tom.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2[]
- He takes over Tom's job while the latter is vacationing in Hawaii.
- He allows Sonic and Tails to take refuge in his garage when they are running from Knuckles and Robotnik.
- He interrogates Agent Stone to get information regarding Robotnik's plans and whereabouts, even humorously asking him what he would like on his bagel.
Knuckles[]
- He rescues Knuckles from two rogue G.U.N. agents via a gauntlet and siracha, and buys him food afterwards.
- He rescues his mother and sister while Knuckles fights the aforementioned G.U.N. agents.
- He helps Knuckles defeat the Buyer, saving multiple lives.
- Becomes a genuine friend towards Knuckles, helping him enjoy life on earth.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3[]
- He guards the Master Emerald for Knuckles, only failing when a vengeful Sonic showed up and zipped it away from him.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the high admirable standards to Tom Wachowski, who helped defeat Dr. Robotnik twice with similar resources, and Maddie Wachowski, who disabled the shield protecting G.U.N.'s headquarters.
- Him saving lots of people from The Buyer's threat also relies on Fridge Brilliance, as everyone present had already evacuated.
- He has a few mischievous moments like when he forced Jack Sinclair to give him his shirt and leather jacket after defeating him.
- He has a Kick The Dog moment when he was completely fine with having his sister Wanda (an FBI agent) being killed by former G.U.N. agents Mason and Willoughby, in contrast to his mother. While Wanda might have been a jerk to him for almost all of her life, this is still way too corrupting for Near Pure Good since despite everything she still didn't deserve to die just for it.
Trivia[]
- He was originally the second character from the Sonic the Hedgehog film series to be Near Pure Good alongside Sonic, but after the release of the third movie, the AS were raised, and he was cut and moved to Heroic Benchmark, while Maddie became Near Pure Good instead.
