Viper is a major character of the Kung Fu Panda franchise.
She is a green tree snake who is a member of the Furious Five. Along with the other four members of the same group, she is a master of the Kung Fu martial art, restricted mainly to the snake style.
She is voiced by Lucy Liu in the films, shorts and TV series; Jessica DiCicco in Secrets of the Furious Five; and Kate Higgins in the video games.

- During multiple times, she doesn't mind taking pain for others, like letting her friends use her as a rope.
Background[]
- In her childhood, she saved her father from gorilla thug.
- She started teaching kung fu and becomes a member of Furious Five to make her father proud and protect innocents.
Kung Fu Panda[]
- She was the only member of the Furious Five who was nice to Po from the start and felt sympathy for him because of how the other members initially treated him. She even expressed concern that he would eventually get himself killed.
- When she attacked Po while he was training with the Five, he said he was ready, but she soon found out he wasn't and apologized for attacking him too quickly for him to defend himself.
- Along with other members of Furious Five, decided to help Tigress stop Tai Lung.
- When Po battled Tai Lung, she helped Tigress and others evacuate citizens from the village.
Kung Fu Panda 2[]
- She and Mantis stopped Lord Shen from killing Po and the rest of the Furious Five.
- She and the rest of the Furious Five helped Po defeat Shen.
Kung Fu Panda 3[]
- She, along with Tigress, Monkey and Shifu, tried to stop Kai and protect the Jade Palace.
Kung Fu Panda 4[]
- She and the rest of the Furious Five helped Po train Zhen to be the next Dragon Warrior.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While Viper has no corrupting factors, most of her actions amount to just helping the Furious Five against threats they would've won against without her and being nice. Additionally, her only unique heroism is saving her father and stopping Shen's cannon from killing Po and the rest of the Furious Five, which is shared with Mantis, making her too bog standard.
- She fails the Admirable Standard to many other characters who had similar resources. While she definitely can't be compared to Po, Zhen, Shifu or Oogway due to their stronger resources, she still fails to the following characters below:
- Tigress, who tried to fight Tai Lung to protect the valley and helped in Kai's defeat.
- Mr. Ping, who helped in the defeat of Tai Lung and played a big role in Kai's defeat.
- Soothsayer, who was the reason Po saved China from Lord Shen.
- Li Shan, who played a big role in Kai's defeat.
- Mantis, who stopped a village from freezing to death even before joining the Furious Five, and saved the Furious Five from Tai Lung and Shen.
Trivia[]
- Like many other characters on this wiki, she used to be Near Pure Good and at one point, Pure Good as well. However, once the admirable standards changed, she ended up failing to other characters too much, and was therefore demoted to Heroic Benchmark.
- While Viper is currently a Heroic Benchmark, she could possibly become Pure Good or Near Pure Good again in a future Kung Fu Panda film.
