“ | Look at it. Simon Wens took her from me. I follow him for many weeks. I know he comes here soon. It is big favor I ask, but is important. Let him through if you see him. But take his passport first. I come back. You give me his passport and I track him down. I make him suffer like he did to Julia. | „ |

The Vengeful Father is a minor character in Papers, Please, he's a father of one of Simon Wen's victims, who's hunting him down in order to claim revenge on him.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- After Simon Wens broke out of prison, he began hunting him down in order to kill him.
- He tries to get The Insepctor to help him get back his vengance by letting Simon Wens pass so he can hunt him down in Arstotzka
- While the way he kills Simon is implied to have been a brutal way, it's not like he didn't deserve it in the end, nor is it played for sympathy on his part, making it more as a fair sense of justice.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He's an anti-hero, as despite having a sympathetic motive, he's asking The Inspector to violate protocol so he can get back his vengeance, and even if Simon's arrested, he'll still be unsatisfied, as he doesn't believe it to be true justice.
- While his heroic deed of killing Simon could potentionally let him pass Papers, Please's low admirable standard, this one heroic deed is completely dependant on The Inspector, making him rely on him a bit too much.
