I'll bet you think you're clever, Gregory. Yeah, I know your name. You're in big trouble! This is not the night to be wasting my time. So, you are going to wait right there in Lost & Found until your parents or the police arrive!
~ Vanessa to Gregory after detaining him in the Lost & Found area.
I was supposed to be a good girl...
~ Vanessa during her therapy session, pondering her traumatic childhood.

Vanessa A. is a major character of the Steel Wool era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.

She is a troubled woman who ended up becoming the first proper thrall of the Mimic, causing her to become the serial killer Vanny, going on a killing spree through Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. However, she would eventually be freed by Gregory, another former thrall of the Mimic.

She is voiced by Heather Masters.

Her Good Ranking[]

Her Heroic Deeds[]

  • Upon accidentally reassembling the Mimic as Glitchtrap within the Freddy Fazbear Virtual Experience, she tries to delete it from the program using Tape Girl's advice, though to no avail.
  • As the nightguard of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, she tries to find Gregory and Glamrock Freddy and return the former to his parents.
  • After being freed from the Mimic's control, she becomes Gregory's friend and possibly even caretaker.
  • It's implied that she helped Gregory venture below the Pizzaplex into Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place so he could trap the Mimic's endoskeleton behind a concrete wall and install the M.X.E.S. program to keep it there.
  • While she did murder several people as Vanny, this was all under the influence of the Mimic and therefore was completely out of her hands.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]

  • Her helping Gregory imprison the Mimic relies of Fridge Brilliance as there isn't much evidence to suggest that she came down there with him. As a result, she fails the admirable standard to Gregory, who tried to stop more disappearances and was more involved in trapping the Mimic.
  • She can act like quite a jerk at times, like when she rough-handles Gregory more than once, mutters that she hates kids under her breath at times and threatens to have Glamrock Freddy replaced as the band's leader.
