Tweety Bird (also known as Tweety Pie or simply Tweety) is a fictional yellow bird and a major character in the animated series Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies. The name "Tweety" is a play on words, as it originally meant "sweetie", along with "tweet" being a typical English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- He's saved himself (and others) multiple times from Sylvester and other cats.
- He, along with Granny, Sylvester, and Hector solved mysteries and crimes in the Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries.
- He helped Speedy Gonzales save his friends from Sylvester and his friends in the New Looney Tunes Episode "Tweet Team".
- In "Tweety's High Flying Adventure" he went around the world in 80 days to collect cat paw prints so that the children's park can remain open alongside Aooga.
- He also teamed up with the Looney Tunes to defeat Al-G Rhythm and the Monstars in both Space Jam movies.
- Although he is brutal and one-sided to Sylvester, there are times whenever he is nice to him, such as in “King Tweety” where he treats him like his brother and even addresses him as such at points in the movie.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- Tweety fails both the general and in-story standards to Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, who have accomplished more than he did.
- He even fails in the admirable standards to his own archenemy, Sylvester J. Pussycat Sr., who has protected Tweety during his "dude-in-distress" moments many times during the Mysteries series and the show before the spin-off (as well as suffering and being underappreciated for even saving Tweety's life).
- Tweety has several moments of being too much of a jerk, and while he sometimes had a good reason to fight back Sylvester, the way he attacks him are often brutal and is noted to be very sadistic as he takes joy in his misery and the same is said for his other enemies that Tweety appears to win with dumb luck or convenience. Tweety doesn't show any genuine remorse for any of this.
- When he appears in Who Framed Rodger Rabbit, he has a lethal moment when he throws Eddie Valiant from the building. Eddie is a person, so he could die from falling. Also Eddie didn't do anything bad to Tweety.
