Theon Greyjoy is a major character in the A Song Of Ice and Fire fantasy book series by George R. R. Martin. He is the son of Balon Greyjoy who was sent to Winterfell to be raised by Ned Stark after his father's failed rebellion in order to keep the Greyjoys in line. Initially Theon was loyal to Ned's son Robb but betrayed him during the war of five kings to side with Balon and the other Greyjoys who wanted revenge.
His Goodness Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- Restrained Robb to make sure he didn't get into a fight with Prince Joffrey.
- Saved Robb and Bran from wildlings.
- Fought in several battles for Robb during the war of five kings.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While his actions as a soldier do pass the general baseline, he fails the admirable standards to other knights such as Jaime Lannister.
- He is far too much of a jerk, looking down on Jon's bastard status, treating his squire Wex poorly and frequently displaying arrogance.
- His crimes such as the murder of two innocent miller's boys and rape of Kyra are too corrupting for Near Pure Good, and like many characters in the series he is both heroic and villainous at the same time.
