The Mayor of Townsville, or simply the Mayor, is the tritagonist in The Powerpuff Girls franchise. His main role in the show is calling the Powerpuff Girls if trouble wreaks havoc over the town, but this is not always the case as he sometimes has a bad habit of asking them to help him with some trivial problem, such as opening a normal jar of pickles.
He is voiced by Tom Kenny.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- His best actions are to be a good mayor and Call help from the Powerpuff Girls, thus making him bog-standard.
- Although it is unfair that he is compared to the Powerpuff Girls and the Professor Utonium due to the high resources they have, he fails the Admirable Standards to Ms. Bellum, who has done more heroic acts with similar resources.
- He's FAR too incompetent for PG or NPG.
- He has several jerkish moments such as in the episode "Powerpuff Bluff" where he calls the Chief of Police to arrest the real Powerpuff Girls when the robbers dressed up as them rob him and Miss Bellum and near the end of the aforementioned episode he sends them back to jail despite knowing they were innocent all along and in the episode "Down 'n' Dirty" where he leads an angry mob after Buttercup all because she refused to take a bath, which was too mean-spirited even for him.
- He kidnapped Ms Bellum and went on a rampage after growing big.
- He seems to be a bad husband, since the times were his wife appeared (whether physically or in picture), the Mayor didn't spoke fondly of her and didn't say that he loved her, also in the episode "Powerpuff Bluff", when some burglars were robbing his house and had him and Ms. Bellum as hostages, the Mayor told them that they can take many of his stuff and they don't harm her, and he mentioned his wife twice, showing that he wouldn't care if she is taken, and also his wife seems to be very sad and lonely.
