Te Fiti is the overarching protagonist of Disney's 56th full-length animated feature film Moana. She’s the Goddess of all creation, but after her heart was stolen by the demigod Maui, she became a destructive lava demon, Te Kā. After that, the life started to disappear all over the ocean.
Her Good Ranking[]
Her Heroic Deeds[]
- She's responsible for creating all the life on the world.
- When she becomes Te Fiti again after Moana returns her heart, she undoes the damage she spread as Te Kā and returns peace in the world.
- She forgives Maui for stealing her heart and makes him another hook after the last one's destruction.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- While she passes the general baseline, she fails the admirable standards too much to the human Moana, who saved the world with vastly less resources.
- After Maui stole her heart, she became her evil counterpart, Te Kā, meaning she is only incorruptible when she has her heart.
- Even as Te Fiti, she lacks any moral agency, as she was made for good.
- She lacks enough characterization, even as Te Fiti.
