~ Taranza's quote on his "Guest Star Go!" description. |
Taranza is a supporting character in the Kirby franchise, serving as the secondary antagonist turned tritagonist of Kirby: Triple Deluxe and a playable character in Kirby: Star Allies. He is an alien spider who used to be the subordinate of Queen Sectonia before redeeming himself and becoming one of Kirby's friends.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- He used to be a good friend and possibly even in love with Queen Sectonia and gifted her the Dimensional Mirror as a token of their bond, although this ironically turned out to be the cause of her corruption.
- While he did help Sectonia establish her tyrannical rule over Floralia, kidnapped King Dedede when he believed him to be the hero called by its people to defeat her and tried to kill Kirby multiple times when he followed him, he mostly did this just because of his attachment to Sectonia and redeemed himself after she betrayed him.
- He helped Dedede fly over to Kirby's battle with Sectonia so he could free him from her grasps. When this rescue ended up rendering Kirby unconscious, Taranza gave him a Miracle Fruit, allowing him to power-up to his Hypernova form and vanquish Sectonia once and for all.
- He helps Kirby in his quest to save the universe from the Jambastion Cult and Void Termina and later helps him rescue the cult's members from Another Dimension.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He fails the Admirable Standard to Kirby and King Dedede since most of his heroism boils down to helping them and their allies.
- He has one particular moment before his redemption where he rudely awakens Pyribbit from his slumber and makes him believe Kirby disturbed him so as to make him kill the puffball. Unlike most of his other attempts to stop Kirby, this was one where he directly caused harm to others and showed no remorse for it.
