stella is a striped skunk and a main character in Over the Hedge.
She's part of a family-like animal community focused on harvesting food for the winter and who after discovering the existence of humans and the city around their forest started stealing their food.
She is voiced by Wanda Sykes, who was also the voice of Bessy, in Barnyard, Granny in Ice Age: Continental Drift/Ice Age: Collision Course and Wage in UglyDolls. In the Japanese dub from the movie, she is voiced by Yukiko Tomochika, who also voiced Taffyta Muttonfudge in Wreck-It Ralph.

- She helped clear out the log that her family, and even herself has been hibernating in all winter.
- After RJ introduced the Surburban neighborhood to her, and the others. She along with her family helped steal the food from the humans to survive, and store enough to last them the winter.
- Made a bold move on the cat Tiger being sick, and tired of everyone criticizing her for being a skunk thinking she's filthy.
- Helped distract Tiger, and redeemed him while the others steal the food in his owner Gladys Sharp's house.
- Used her powerful spraying ability to stink up Gladys Sharp's house so she, and her family can escape from Dwayne LaFontant trying to capture them.
- Finding out that Verne's tail was not tingling. She, and her family allowed RJ to get inside the truck from Vincent trying to kill him.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Fails the admirable standards of Over the Hedge to RJ, Verne, and Hammy who took a bigger part in defeating Vincent, Gladys Sharp, and Dwayne LaFontant.
- She is incredibly wrathful and jerkish, as she constantly acts like a jerk to anyone even if they didn't deserve it, and even threatens to spray them, which is way too cruel.
- When Penny was trying to give her advice on finding a mate. She rudely took it as an insult for her being a skunk, and not ever being able to find a mate in her life.
