~ Snow White. |
Snow White is the titular main protagonist of the 1937 Disney animated movie of the same name. Considered to be the fairest of them all, the villainous Queen Grimhilde wants to kill Snow White so that way she could take her place.
She was voiced the late Adrianna Caselotti in the original.
Her Good Ranking[]
Her Heroic Deeds[]
1937 Film[]
- She was genuinely kind and friendly to everyone and everything she met, including the forest animals.
- She survived her years of abuse at the hands of her stepmother.
- She cared for the Seven Dwarfs like she was their own mother.
- She comforted a baby bird and helped it return to its parents.
- Although she went into the Dwarfs’ home, ate and sleep there without their permission, this was only becuase they weren’t home yet and she was starving from being in the forest after running from her stepmother, so it was understandable.
- Hoping that the Seven Dwarfs (whom she at first believed to be children due to the size of the furniture), she helped clean their cottage.
- Convinced the Seven Dwarfs (except Grumpy) to let her stay by saying that she would do the housework for them so that they would keep her safe from her stepmother.
- Despite Grumpy's initial dislike for her and rude remarks, she never had a grudge against him for it and just responded with a soft smile and kindness.
- While she did tease Grumpy when he refused to wash his hands, it was in a playful manner.
- She prayed to bless the Seven Dwarfs for being so kind to her and make her dreams come true, as well as asking to make Grumpy like her.
- She decided to bake a gooseberry pie for Grumpy so that he would like her.
- Although she didn’t trust the animals when they tried to stop her from allowing Queen Grimhilde in, she didn’t know that it was her stepmother in disguise and thought the animals were hurting her when they attacked her which is why she shooed them away and helped her, so it was understandable.
Sofia the First[]
- In the episode "The Enchanted Feast", when she was summoned by Sofia's Amulet of Avalor, she advised Sofia to trust her instincts no matter what anyone else said, and that people weren't always who they seemed to be. At the end of the episode, she gave Sofia a proudly smile while appearing again in a magic morph mirror.
- In the episode "Forever Royal", Snow White, in spirit form, encouraged Sofia to be brave and strong, which helped her to defeat Vor.
Kingdom Hearts[]
TBA
Ralph Breaks the Internet[]
- She was very kind to Vanellope von Schweetz when she teleported into the Disney Princesses' room since she was the only princess who didn't confront Vanellope with hostility even though she was seen charging towards her.
- She gave Vanellope an advice of finding her own song by finding some water and staring, which she explained that she sang to a wishing well.
- She helped save Wreck-It Ralph from falling after he defeated Arthur.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While the Magic Mirror considers Snow White to be "the fairest of them all", the only thing Snow White does through all of her appearances is being nice and kind to people, thus making her bog-standard for several reasons:
- She fails to do anything heroic as most of the film prior to entering the home of the Seven Dwarfs is her singing and then running away scared in the hostile forest.
- When she does enter the home of the Dwarfs, she spends most of the time cleaning and taking care of them. While this is a nice gesture, this still isn't exactly heroic. It doesn't help that she spends most of the time in hiding when the Evil Queen wanted her dead.
- Her being unconscious during the climax, the film's singular clash of good versus evil, really speaks for itself.
- Her saving Ralph was shared with the other Disney Princesses.
- She fails the Admirable Standard to Grumpy, who led the Dwarves to defeat Queen Grimhilde.
Trivia[]
- Like quite a few other characters on this wiki, Snow White was thought to have been Pure Good. As the admirable standards changed over time, however, it was revealed that Snow White didn't qualify due to the fact that being nice and friendly to people wasn't exactly heroic, making her and Aurora the only two Disney Princesses to be Heroic Benchmarks.
- Coincidentally, her stepmother used to be a Villainous Benchmark before becoming Pure Evil.
- She replaced Ariel as the icon of the Heroic Benchmark wiki since Ariel has been approved as Pure Good.
- She's one of the few protagonists who fail the admirable standards of the stories they're in.
