Heroic Benchmark Wiki

Your planet is now marked for death. Your world will be consumed by the Devourer. There is nothing you can do to stop him. For he is a universal force, as essential as the stars. Hold your loved ones close and speak the words you’ve been afraid to speak. Use this time to rejoice and celebrate, for your time is short. I herald his beginning. I herald your end. I herald... Galactus.
~ Silver Surfer announcing her arrival to the people of Earth 828

Shalla-Bal known as the Silver Surfer is the secondary antagonist of the 2025 superhero film The Fantastic Four First Steps based on the team of the same name from Marvel Comics and the 37th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

She is the cosmic herald of Galactus who aids him in feeding him planets, assisting him in getting rid of the Fantastic Four and delivering him the son of Reed Richards and Susan Richards, Franklin Richards.

She was portrayed by Julia Garner.

Her Good Ranking[]

Her Heroic Deeds[]

  • She became Galactus’ herald to save her planet from being destroyed.
  • Despite warning the Fantastic Four that they shouldn’t have come, she still leads them to speak with Galactus in an attempt to negociate a truce so that he spares Earth.
  • She strongly disagreed with Galactus wanting Reed and Susan’s newborn son Franklin and even tried to talk him out of it, only going on with his plans after he threatened her into obeying him once more.
  • She sacrificed herself by sending both Galactus and herself into the portal into outer space after stopping Johnny Storm from doing the same thing, betraying her master and saving Earth.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]

  • She significantly fails the high admirable standards of the MCU, as all she did to pass the baseline was preventing Johnny's sacrifice, while the rest of the team did most of the work in stopping Galactus.
    • Not to mention that she's got high resources, given that she's a cosmic being with cosmic powers, meaning she fails the individual capability as well.
  • She’s an extremist as she was willing to sacrifice countless planets to Galactus to save her own and nearly did the same thing Earth, even sabotaging the Fantastic Four’s plan to move Earth away from Galactus and initially trying to stop them from sending Galactus into space until Johnny got through to her. This makes her too corrupting to even be NPG.
