Road Runner is a major character in the Looney Tunes franchise, most notably serving as the titular main protagonist of the Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote shorts.
Vocalizes only with a signature sound, "Beep, beep", and an occasional tongue noise. The "Beep, beep" was recorded by Paul Julian. He is always one step ahead of his predator Wile E. Coyote.
He is also voiced by Frank Welker in the TV show, The Looney Tunes Show.
Like the rest of the Looney Tunes characters, he also got a new look in The Looney Tunes Show.
He is also one of a few characters that only makes sound effects, the other being Wile E. Coyote (although he does not make any sound effects like Roadrunner does).
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- Outsmarted Wile E. Coyote multiples times with his supersonic speed.
- Saved other Looney Tunes characters from Wile E. Coyote trying to eat them.
- Teamed up with the Looney Tunes characters to help defeat the Monstars, Goon Squad, and AI-Rhythm in both Space Jam movies.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Just like Tweety Bird, he fails the general and in-story standards of Looney Tunes to Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, two characters who have accomplished more than he did. Also, Road Runner's lack of motives and actions beside decieving Wile E, makes the Road Runner slightly fail the standards to Tweety who's also bog-standard.
- Having no other traits other than pure optimism, makes him a extremely standard protagonist who wants to survive while running. This makes him not only a neutral character, but also one who is insufficiently characterized.
- He can also be very mischievous without meaning any harm sometimes, where he'd tease Wile E. Coyote; who can never catch up to him.
- Sometimes acted like a smiling careless jerk with harming Wile E. for trying to eat him during the Rudy Larriva era.
