~ Rain to Liu Kang after defeating Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. |
Rain is a minor protagonist in Mortal Kombat 1, serving as a heroic counterpart to the main version of Rain, and is a playable character in the game's final chapter.
Like his counterpart, he is voiced by Norshir Dalal.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- He appears as a titan fighter to join the Forces of Light to help Liu Kang defeat Titan Shang Tsung and the Forces of Darkness.
- Before joining the Forces of Light, he redeemed himself and joined Kitana in aligning with the Earthrealm warriors after Shao Kahn turned against him and had visions of Edenia getting invading by Shao Kahn and trying to kill his father, and he even subverted all of his corrupting qualities during the process.
- He thanks Kitana for killing the darker versions of the Kombat Kids.
- While he kills, it's only in necessarily circumstances such as protecting people, etc. And despite the fact he still retains his lethality, he never expresses any sadistic pleasure in doing so which is the reason why he isn't really lethal, and his lethality isn't corrupting at all.
- When Liu Kang was trapped by Shang Tsung's snake, he assists him by defeating Titan Shang Tsung and Titan Quan Chi for him.
- Despite being power hungry, he only uses his powers to help those in need, and never for selfish purposes. And despite retaining his strict failure-intolerance, he always shows mercy, is very forgiving and willing to give chances.
- He lacks any corrupting qualities that his original counterpart has, such as being egotistical, and his dark horse nature.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- His actions usually rely on "Save the world" and "Defeat the villains" heroism, making him bog-standard.
- He fails the admirable standards to other heroes, such as Liu Kang, Kitana, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and Cassie Cage.
- He relies on Fridge Brilliance.
