Princess Daisy is a major character in the Mario franchise. She is the Princess of Sarasaland, now a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the love interest of Luigi, Mario's younger brother. She is also the best friend of Princess Peach. She has made many appearances in Mario spinoff titles.
She is voiced by Deanna Mustard.

- After Mario saves her from Tatanga in Super Mario Land, Princess Daisy restored her kingdom of Sarasaland to normal.
- Saved the Snow Spirits in the DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.
- Protected the Chao's flower garden from the intruder off with snowballs.
- In Mario Party 9, she helps the cast get the mini stars back from Bowser Jr. and Bowser.
- In Mario Party DS, she, alongside the eight other playable characters, assists in defeating Bowser.
- After Bowser's team loses in baseball, she puts aside her grudge against him and lets him join the festival.
- In Mario Tennis Aces, she rightfully chews Wario and Waluigi out for unleashing Lucien. As a result, both of them agree to play fair in the end.
- In World of Light, she teams up with the other fighters to save the world from Galeem and Dharkon.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- She heavily fails the admirable standards to several other Mario characters, like Luigi, Mario, and Princess Peach, since all of them did as much and even more than her.
- Her saving Sarasaland from Tatanga and turning it back to normal suffers from Fridge Brilliance since it was not established on how bad Tatanga's conquest of Sarasaland is nor do we see any other citizens in there. The rest of her heroism comes from supportive heroism, even though saving the Poplins from being imprisoned and the Sunbaked Desert Poplins' from dying from thirst may have seemed admirable (and even then, that's almost entirely dependent on player's choice).
- This is not helped by her appearances being in spinoff titles where the admirable standards tend to be low at best and non-existent at worst.
- She also fails the individual capacity since she has a lot of resources to do more.
- She has a couple of moments of mischievousness and can be a jerk at times as well as bossy and short-tempered depending on the circumstances.
- Much like how Donkey Kong was at the start of The Super Mario Bros. Movie before subverting it, she is very egotistical, bratty and overcompetitive in the sports games, which is too much for NPG since she consistently showboats in front of the public and getting angry if she loses against people, going as far as to threatening to beat up her teammates or yelling at the player (i.e. calling them klutzes or stomping on the floor while looking at them) if they fail to help her win.
Trivia[]
- Although this version of Daisy is a Heroic Benchmark, her movie and manga counterparts are PG and IA respectively due to the standards being lower in those works, with the latter having questionable canonicity due to her dying in the manga series, while the mainstream is still alive.
- In the Mario & Sonic series, she is the only of the four female characters to be a Heroic Benchmark; Peach, Amy, and Blaze were approved as Pure Good once they passed the admirable standards and/or subverted their corrupting factors.
