Prince Charming is one of the supporting characters in the Cinderella franchise. He is Cinderella's husband and the Prince of his father's kingdom. In the first film, he was voiced by the late William Edward Phipps (with the late Mike Douglas doing his singing voice). In modern media, he is voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes.
His Good Ranking[]
In General[]
- He is a caring and brave prince who does everything he can to protect those around him, especially in the third film.
Heroic Deeds[]
- In the first film, he starts to fall in love with Cinderella.
- After wandering through the palace gardens and when the clock is about to strike midnight, he tries to go after her.
- In the third film:
- He is summoned by the birds to see Cinderella with the wand before being she was caught and send away by the guards, under Lady Tremaine's orders.
- Thanks to Jaq and Gus, he goes off to save Cinderella from being send away, much to their own delight.
- When they came back, he and Cinderella revealed Lady Tremaine's true nature to the king, who ordered Tremaine and her daughter to be brought into custody.
- After Lady Tremaine’s plans to seize the kingdom got foiled when Cinderella sacrificed to defend Anastasia and the kingdom with Tremaine deciding to turn the two into toads, he aids Cinderella to defend Anastasia and the kingdom by using his sword to deflect the magic that ended up transforming Lady Tremaine and Drizella into toads.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Most of his heroic deeds and kindness revolve around Cinderella, which makes him less heroic than her and Jaq.
- While having no corrupting traits, he still fails to pass the general or in-story standards for several reasons.
- While he did defeat Lady Tremaine and Drizella, his act in defeating Tremaine in order to defend the kingdom is shared with Cinderella, who played a more crucial role in saving the whole kingdom, including Charming himself, and especially Anastasia, whom Cinderella helped her redeem to become a better person.
- What's more in the first film, he contributes very little to the plot, which means he has less screen time compared to Cinderella and the mice.
- As a result, this is why he fails the admirable standards compared to his wife, who defended the mice from Lucifer and stopped the Duke from fearing the king's wrath in the first film and later saved the whole kingdom by foiling Lady Tremaine’s plan in trying to terrorize the kingdom in the third film.
- It could be argued he also fails the standards compared to Jaq, who distracted the guards to allow Cinderella to defend the kingdom, Charming and Anastasia by stopping Tremaine.
- Overall, he’s just a kind hearted prince whose confirmed heroic deeds rely on support heroism, making him too bog-standard to qualify.

- He, along with Prince Florian and Prince Naveen are the only three Disney Princes to be Heroic Benchmark.
