Heroic Benchmark Wiki

Uh, hello? Hello hello?
~ The start of Ralph’s calls, and his most famous quote.
Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night.
~ Ralph at the end of FNAF 1's Night 1 phone call.

Ralph, also known as the Phone Guy, is the tritagonist of the ScottGames era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise. He is a senior employee of Fazbear Entertainment who helps new security guards, including Jeremy Fitzgerald and Michael Afton, survive against the hostile animatronics found in the pizzerias.

He is voiced by the series' creator Scott Cawthon.

His Good Ranking

His Heroic Deeds

  • He makes a series of tapes informing employees how to safely equip the dangerous springlock suits and later warning them not to use them after an incident caused them to be banned.
  • He gave advice to Jeremy Fitzgerald during his tenure as nightguard at the 1987 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location, telling him how to fend off the animatronics and warning him about events like the building being on lockdown, the animatronics' facial recognition being tampered with and how someone used the Spring Bonnie suit to cause chaos.
  • While he did participate in a lot of Fazbear Entertainment's more dubious actions, he was just following orders and didn’t truly know that he was covering up the night guards' deaths and the existence of the safe rooms where Afton murdered his victims
    • He also didn’t know that he was telling springlock failure victims to prioritize customer enjoyment over salvaging their own lives, and likely felt great remorse over not helping them when he found it.
  • He gave advice to several night guards at the 1993 Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location, including Mike Schmidt, warning them about the threat posed by the animatronics and telling them how they can avoid death at their hands, as well as how to conserve power in the office, allowing them to survive their shifts.
  • He loved his daughter Coppelia, and kept working at his job no matter how dangerous it got so he could provide for her.

Why Doesn't He Stand Out?

  • While creating tapes for future employees is enough to make him pass the baseline, he fails the Admirable Standards to Michael Afton, who went down to Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental's specifically to free his sister and helped Henry Emily lure all of the possessed animatronics into one place to free their souls. Additionally, it is heavily implied he is responsible for freeing the souls of the Missing Children as the Fazbear's Fright Guard.
  • He suffers from Fridge Brilliance as the only known night guards who heard his advice were Jeremy Fitzgerald and Mike Schmidt, while a lot, if not all of the other night guards died at the animatronics' hands with no confirmation that they received the same help from Phone Guy that Jeremy and Mike did.
  • Even if he was just following orders, Ralph is still guilty of participating in a lot of Fazbear Entertainment's more dubious actions, such as covering up the night guards' deaths and the existence of the safe rooms where Afton murdered his victims and telling springlock failure victims to prioritize customer enjoyment over salvaging their own lives, which is far too severe for him to be NPG.
