General Okoye is a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
She is the leader of the royal guard of the kingdom of Wakanda, the Dora Milaje, and is extremely loyal to the Wakandan throne and proud of its history. She is a great friend of King T'Challa, also known as Black Panther, and helped him and the Avengers in the final battle against Thanos.
She is portrayed by Danai Gurira.

- Led the Dora Milaje through many missions in the past.
- Helped T'Challa when he was defeating kidnappers.
- Went to Korea with T'Challa when he was looking for Klaue.
- When T'Challa was revealed to still be alive, she regained her loyalty towards him and tuned the Dora Milaje against Erik Killmonger.
- Later helped fight against W'Kabi and the Border Tribe.
- She refused to kill W'Kabi, forcing him to watch how both the Dora Milaje and Border tribers were dying in the conflict, which made him tell his troops to surrender.
Avengers: Infinity War[]
- She helped protect Wakanda when it was being attacked by the Outriders, stating that if Wakanda is to end, it will end the most glorious way in history.
- Fought Proxima Midnight along with Black Widow, saving Scarlet Witch who was about to be killed by her.
Avengers: Endgame[]
- After T'Challa temporarily died, she helped organize and administrate things in Wakanda.
- Joined the Avengers after Thanos' victory, ready to help if anything happened.
- She was in the final battle along with a revived T'Challa, Shuri, and the entirety of the other heroes, to help them fight against Thanos and prevent him from destroying the universe.
- Helped Captain Marvel go through the Outriders.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- She often acts cold and rude towards others.
- Her fighting methods are extremely lethal.
- Has a mischievous side, as she mocked T'Challa along with Shuri about one of his failures on a mission.
- When Everett friendly tapped T'Challa, she threatened him with impale him.
- She can let her loyalty towards the Wakandan throne be in first place instead of her morals, since she temporarily served Erik Killmonger despite not agreeing with him, due to her thinking T'Challa was dead.
- Although she passes the baseline for protecting Wakanda and playing a role in Killmonger's defeat, she fails the admirable standards to many characters with similar resources, especially T'Challa and Shuri.
