"Beep, Boop, Beep, Boop!"
~ Mr. Game & Watch

Mr. Game & Watch is the titular main amalgamation protagonist of the handheld series of video games of the same name. Mr. Game & Watch is a 2D stick figure-inspired silhouette character who is a resident of Flat Zone. Although the specific character was not introduced until 2001 and the Game & Watch franchise did not represent a true mascot, Mr. Game & Watch was intended to be an amalgamation of the entire franchise.

Good Rankings[]

What Makes Him Heroic?[]

  • During the traditional timeline of Game & Watch, Mr. Game & Watch has relentlessly gone out of routine to perform various objectives across Flat Zone that involves helping and being supportive to other people/residents and the genuine environment of his homeworld.
  • As a firefighter, he managed to rescue countless endangered people from a burning building in the game, Fire.
  • He prevented moles from destructing and infecting his garden in the game, Vermin.
    • Not only that, if Mr. Game & Watch has not prevented moles from causing destruction to his garden, the moles could have potentially be free to ambush Flat Zone and endanger his home world's environment should Mr. Game & Watch let the moles destroy his garden.
  • Mr. Game & Watch has saved pedestrians from falling into manholes by covering them up in the game, Manhole.
  • As a zookeeper, Mr. Game & Watch has tirelessly tamed lions in order to restrain them in their cages and prevent them from endangering other people across Flat Zone and causing an ambush in the game, Lion.
  • Mr. Game & Watch has saved countless people from falling into the ocean by offering them to land on his boat. If they did end up in the water, they will get devoured by sharks that emerge from the water in the game, Parachute.
  • As a scuba diver, Mr. Game & Watch has braved himself to swim into the ocean and collect loot for his fellow sailors who are boarding the boat, all while he evades a giant octopus that tries to capture him and the treasure with his tentacles in the game, Octopus.
  • In the game, Turtle Bridge, Mr. Game & Watch has tirelessly jumped on the shells of turtles who are protruding from the water and collected packages and managed to store them for a resident worker who is at the cliffs (even if it risks Mr. Game & Watch's own life by potentially falling into the water should he not land on a turtle's shell), who takes the packages from Mr. Game & Watch and stores it at his package collection.
  • In the game, Fire Attack, Mr. Game & Watch has tirelessly defended his fort from an onslaught of Native Americans with flaming torches.
  • In the game, Oil Panic, Mr. Game & Watch has dealt with an oil leak at a gas station as a station helper by catching dripping oil from an oil leak from a pipe, and dumping it into the boss' oil drum on the second floor, while also being aware not to dump it onto the gas station's costumers.
  • In the game, Donkey Kong Junior, Mr. Game & Watch managed to set Donkey Kong free from a cage.
  • After the Duon is defeated by Solid Snake, Lucario, Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Princess Zelda/Sheik and Princess Peach in the Subspace Emissary, Mr. Game & Watch is eventually revived from his trophicated form thanks to the latter and when scolded by Peach, Mr. Game & Watch is immediately remorseful for his actions. However, when Peach offers him her parasol to motivate and encourage him, he immediately redeems himself and reforms from his corrupting qualities.
    • However, his villainous actions were all due to the brainwashing from Tabuu. Therefore, Mr. Game & Watch does not show sadism within boarding the Battleship Halberd during the Subspace Emissary.
  • After redeeming himself, Mr. Game & Watch goes on to save the world from Tabuu's domination in the Subspace Emissary, as well as Galeem and Dharkon's domination in World of Light.

What Makes Him Not Stand Out?[]

  • It is confirmed that in the Subspace Emissary, Mr. Game & Watch is incapable of defining morality by differentiating good and evil, as he lacks understanding of the difference between good and evil, hence the reason Tabuu manipulated and brainwashed him effortlessly prior to the events of the Subspace Emissary. As such, Mr. Game & Watch has too much moral agency issues to be considered Near Pure Good or Pure Good.
  • His heroism only revolves around standard supportive heroism, as he saved countless amounts of helpless people in Fire and Parachute without admirable actions.
  • Mr. Game & Watch is an overall mysterious and often dimwitted character whose personality is left rather vague (hence after Princess Peach revives Mr. Game & Watch from being trophicated, he is questionable about his whereabouts and the scenery) as he was just an ensemble amalgamation of characters throughout the Game & Watch series and not presenting himself until Super Smash Bros. Melee, therefore rendering himself insufficiently characterized.

Trivia[]

  • Mr. Game & Watch is the oldest character from both the Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. history to be considered a Heroic Benchmark.
