Momo is a supporting character in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
He is Aang's pet lemur and the two have met at the Southern Air Temple where Aang discovered that his people have been killed off, including his old airbending master, by the Fire Nation army led by Fire Lord Sozin a hundred years prior to being unfrozen by Katara and Sokka. Momo and Appa are the best of friends, and the two get along exceptionally well for the most part.

His Heroic Deeds[]
- Momo joins Team Avatar early on in the show as it longed for companionship.
- He cared deeply for Appa and was very sad after he was captured and went with Team Avatar to reunite with him and when they do, he clung to Appa for dear life.
- He rescued Katara from Zuko by undoing the ropes that tie her to a post.
- He helped Team Avatar retrieve the waterbending scroll and defeated the iguana parrot.
- He gets along very well with everyone around him, with Hawky being the only exception, but still.
- Despite being a mute animal, Momo has shown a clear moral agency as he has the ability to communicate with humans, and has a sense of wrong and right.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He can be very mischievous and tends to steal food at times from others.
- While he does pass the general baseline, he fails the high admirable standards of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise.
