Mina Carolina is a minor character from the manga and anime Attack on Titan. She enlisted into the military of the Walls at the age of 12 and became a part of the 104 Training Corps. After graduation, she was forced to fight in the Battle of Trost District where she would lose her life.

• Compared to many other soldiers who wanted to join the Military Police to get a safe place in the interior. It was never stated what Mina’s motivation was for joining the military, assuming that she did it to help humanity overall.
• She helps her squad during the rescue mission for Historia and their 3dm gear against the brigands.
• She’s always portrayed as being very cheerful and supportive every time she’s seen.
• Many of the heroic characters in the series have committed many controversial acts and are known for having a lot of greyness in them. Mina doesn’t fall into this category because she doesn’t have any controversial actions.

Why She Doesn't Stand Out?

• Her main characteristic, which is being a hopeful supporter is rather standard in the series, as many of the heroic characters share these traits.
• Compared to many other fallen heroes in the series, Mina doesn’t have a strong post-humous effect on the remaining characters, never truly leaving a strong presence. Compared to characters such as Marco Bott and Erwin Smith.
• She’s a minor character that didn’t have a lot of speaking lines, causing her to lack proper characterization.
