Masaru Takahara is the main protagonist of the present day chapter of Live A Live.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- After Odie kills the fighters Masaru previously beat, he avenges them by beating Odie himself.
- If Cube or Sundown are the chosen heroes for the final chapter, Masaru will join them right away because he knows he wouldn't stand a chance against a guy with a gun and because he finds Cube too cute to fight.
- His speech to Oersted has him say that he understands what the desire to be the best is like while letting him know that it isn't everything.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the admirable standards to the other main heroes of the game with even Oersted being above him.
- Whereas all the other heroes have many heroic moments, most of Masaru's moments are done alongside the other heroes with his standalone moments not even able to compare.
- He outright threatens to kill Odie O'Bright. As horrible as the man is, Masaru's serious threat can't be overlooked.
- Unless the chosen hero is himself, Sundown, or Cube, Masaru will demand a fight before joining, displaying an obsession with combat.
