Marceline Abadeer is a major character in the Adventure Time franchise.
She is a fun-loving and mischievous 1,000-year-old vampire Queen. Marceline plays an electric bass, which she made from her family's heirloom battle-axe as revealed in "It Came from the Nightosphere", and occasionally plays musically with Finn and Jake. Unlike most vampires, she reveals that it's the color red she likes to suck out of various things, and blood is only appealing because it is red. Like a traditional vampire, she is vulnerable to sunlight and is capable of turning into a bat, varying in size. The show generally portrays her as a close friend of Finn and Jake, but she often feels alone as depicted in "Marceline's Closet". She is Princess Bubblegum's girlfriend.
She is voiced by Olivia Olson, who also voiced Vanessa Doofenshmirtz in Phineas and Ferb.

- While she started out as a villain due to bringing vampires to near extinction, this is justified because they tried to genocide the humans. We even saw a universe where the vampires were not destroyed and that universe is much worse place to live for both humans and vampires.
- She loves Simon very much even when he is Ice King.
- Although she has a strained relationship with Hunson, she still cares for him.
- She reconciled with Bonnie and they have a relationship again.
- She supports Finn and Jake in their adventures.
- She helped several other characters to defeat GOLB and stop his massacre.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- Her best act of stopping GOLB's mass-murdering rampage isn't admirable enough as it was shared with other characters.
- She fails the admirable standard to Finn and Jake, who both do better than her. Resources don't help as she is a vampire whereas Finn is a human and Jake is a dog.
- She started out as a villain who committed several crimes such as committing nigh-genocide on vampires (even if it was justifiable) and being rude to Finn and Jake.
- She's somewhat anti-heroic as she mostly cares about being Princess Bubblegum's girlfriend rather than being good for the benefit of everyone else.
- Even after her redemption, she has some arrogant, wrathful, selfish and/or jerkish moments.
