Magellan is one of the anti-heroic antagonists of One Piece. He is currently the vice-warden. He was demoted from warden after he failed to stop the mass prison breakout. Although he is an antagonist, he does his best to prevent criminals from escaping to protect the citizens.
He is voiced by Mitsuaki Hoshino in the Japanese version and by Jeremy Inman in the English dub.

- As a warden of the Impel Down, which is one of the biggest prisons, he takes great effort preventing many of the most dangerous criminals from escaping with the intent reducing crime rates.
- He arrested Shiryu for sadistically killing dozens of prisoners and abuse of power.
- He poisoned Black Beard, who is one of the most dangerous villains of One Piece, to prevent him from escaping and freeing some of the prisoners in level 6
Why He Doesn't Stand Out[]
- Though he passes the general baseline for detaining criminals far more dangerous than what a typical warden would have to deal with and placing Shiryu who is proven to a be dangerous criminal who has claimed many lives under arrest, he fails high admirable standards to Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe, and several more, who've stopped more dangerous foes and saved many more lives with similar resources.
- He is far too lethal to be even NPG
- Although he takes great effort to preventing criminals from escaping, his methods amount extreme torture to the point of passing the high heinous standards of the series.
- He will poison anyone who stands in his way, regardless of whether they're his allies. He demonstrates this by poisoning many prisoners and workers on his way to stop Luffy and Blackbeard from escaping Impel Down.
