Krusty the Clown is a major character in animated sitcom The Simpsons. He is a children's entertainer who is idolized by Bart Simpson. Though at times Krusty can do the right thing he is mostly apathetic, self-centered and greedy.
He forgave Sideshow Bob for framing him for robbing the Kwik-E-Mart.
Feels guilty when he sees how horribly the kids are treated at Kamp Krusty and attempts to make up for it by taking them on a trip to Tijuana.
Tried to raise money for the families of Jewish clowns and saved Homer's life even after Homer had been rude to him about it.
Is among the townspeople who help rebuild Ned Flanders' home after it is destroyed by a hurricane.
Provided Bob with an alibi when he was wrongly suspected of kidnapping Homer.
Turned himself in for attempting to murder Homer to save the circus from having to close down.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
He fails the admirable standards to Homer and Bart Simpson, who both stopped Springfield from getting destroyed.
He has displayed numerous corrupting qualities that detract from his admirability:
Despite all Bart has done for him such as clearing his name when he was framed, Krusty can't even remember who he is and treats him badly such as exploiting his fame.
He was very abusive to Sideshow Bob (which led to him being a crimnal) and continues to be the same with Sideshow Mel.
He is a total sellout and happily endorses products of poor quality if it means more money for him.
He tried to kill Homer just for giving his show bad reviews.
He lacks artistic integrity and regularly steals jokes from other comedians.
