Kazuichi Soda is a supporting character within the Danganronpa franchise, as he managed to survive all of the class trials along with Hajime, Fuyuhiko, Akane, and Sonia. He also returns in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak Academy in the despair and hope arc.
He is voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya in the Japanese version of the anime and the game, and by Kyle Hebert in the English version of the anime and the game, who also voiced Big the Cat from Sonic Adventure.

His Heroic Deeds[]
- Built a monitor to help Chiaki and everyone play video games in class as a bonding experience.
- He does his best to help out in class trials.
- He fixes the elevator that operates between Grape and Strawberry house.
- Uses Nekomaru's spare parts to make him into Minimaru for Akane.
- Stops AI Junko with Hajime, Fuyuhiko, Akane, and Sonia.
- Stops Ryota Mitarai from brainwashing people into hope with the rest of his class.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He fails the admirable standards to Fuyuhiko, Nekomaru and Gundham with similar resources.
- His biggest corrupting factor is his very unhealthy and toxic obsession with Sonia Nevermind. The worst case being when Hiyoko had spiked Teruteru's food with aphrodisiacs and having been effected by them when he sees a defenseless Sonia he sees his chance and attempts to molest her. He also regularly stalks her and even gets Hajime involved in one of his schemes after overhearing that Sonia and the girls were going to the beach for a swim, and to have Hajime with him to make it seem like running into them was just a coincidence.
- Due to this fact he also becomes quite envious of Gundham for attracting her attention.
- He doesn't always commit his heroic deeds for the right reasons, at times committing these deeds merely to impress Sonia.
