Karen Plankton is the secondary antagonist of Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. She is Sheldon J. Plankton's wife who often helps him with his schemes.
She is voiced by Jill Talley.

Her Heroic Deeds[]
- In "Friend or Foe", she tells the true story of how Mr. Krabs and Plankton become enemies.
- In "Frozen Face-Off", she helps SpongeBob and the others stop Plankton from stealing the secret formula.
- In "Plankton's Regular", she paid Nat to eat in the "Chum Bucket" to make Plankton happier.
- In "Single Cell Anniversary", she obtains the Kraby Patty secret formula as an anniversary gift for Sheldon but refuses to give it to him until he gives her gift from the hearth.
- In "Chum Bucket Supreme", she gives her husband an idea for a way to legally achieve success and profit.
- In "Plankton's Pet", after Sheldon fails yet again, she gives him an idea to adopt a pet and make him more happy.
- In "Tango Tangle" she appreciates Plankton paying for tango lessons.
- In "Salsa Imbecilicus", she teams up with Sandy to make Bikini Bottomies smart again.
- In "Karen's Baby", she cares for her new son.
- In The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, she helped SpongeBob and Plankton to build a time machine.
- In "The Ghost of Plankton", she holds a funeral for Plankton (who is thought to have passed away), and she comforts SpongeBob when he's crying over Plankton's presumed death.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- While she does pass the baseline by helping save the world, the rest of her actions consist in supportive heroism in helping Plankton in non-criminal activities and making him happier. She still fails the average admirable standards to SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy, who have been more involved in saving the world. This is a minor prevention as she gives directions to the gang on how to get to the Krusty Krab.
- She is On & Off because she often does villainous deeds, most notably in Plankton: The Movie, where she tried to destroy the world and even passes the henious standard.
- Although she cares about Plankton, she sometimes treats him badly, although there are situations where he deserves it, but there are also moments when she insults him without justifications.
- In "One Coarse Meal", she doesn't believe that there was a whale chasing Plankton and yelled at him for it, although she saw how terrified he was. She even sarcastically mocks him for his fear of whales even though she knows several of his relatives have been eaten by whales.
- In "Plankton's Good Eye" she insists that that his eye is just fine and doesn’t need inspection.
