John Dory is one of the tritagonists of Trolls Band Together. He is a pop troll, leader of the boy band, BroZone, and the oldest brother of Spruce, Clay, Floyd, and Branch.
He is voiced by Eric André in the movie, who also voiced Darius in Sing 2, and was voiced by Kyle Chapple in the video game, Trolls Remix Rescue.

Background[]
- As soon as he had gotten word of Floyd’s capture, he went to Mount Rageous without hesitation to find him. Once found, he tried different methods to break him out of the Diamond, but to no prevail.
- He treats Poppy with kindness, due to her treating him the same way, as his friendship with her touched his heart, her positive influences has rubbed off on him and motivated him to make things right with his brothers.
- He was able to encourage Spruce and Branch to practice their dance routines when they question if they can reach the Perfect Family Harmony, briefly bringing them closer together.
- After Branch and Poppy left due to his attitude, he felt remorseful about how he treated his brothers, and continued to Mount Rageous to help Floyd. Though it is unsaid if he was also going there with Spruce and Clay in order to apologize to Branch, after possibly figuring out that he and their friends went to save their captured brother on their own.
- Once freed from Veneer’s shoulder pads, he assisted in fighting against Velvet in order to save Clay and Floyd.
- His most mature moment happens when he resigns his leadership to Branch, a subtle way for him to make amends to Branch for treating him like a baby, which successfully leads to the now forgiven brothers to perform the Perfect Family Harmony and free Floyd before the life is sucked out of him.
Why doesn’t he stand out?[]
- He was originally proposed for Inconsistently Admirable because of his personality and eventual redemption, but due to him only saving one person, his brother Floyd, he doesn’t reach the baselines for it.
- He barely takes things seriously at first. He knew about the danger that Floyd was in, but instead of starting with that when he arrived at the royal wedding, he made a scene by hitting Branch, angering Poppy, and talking about his band before bringing up the urgency.
- His personality is shown to be bossy and egotistical, constantly talking down to Branch and pressuring his brothers.
- He doesn’t really take blame for breaking up his brothers or treating them badly. Only trying to repair their relationships after Branch chews them out and saves them from danger.
