Hiroshi Sato was the tertiary antagonist turned supporting character in The Legend of Korra. He was Asami's father and Amon's former third in command man.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- He invented the Satomobiles, which are automobiles capable of long distance travel and are affordable to the average citizen. This is made transportation easier for the people of Republic City.
- During his time in prison, he felt remorse for his past crimes.
- He genuinely loved his wife and daughter.
- After he was temporarily let out of prison, he decided to help stop Kuvira's invasion. He helped add plasma saws to the humming bird mech suit that were used to cut through the platinum armor of Colossus and destroy it from the inside. He did a heroic sacrifice to create an entry point to the Colossus by cutting through the armor giving Team Avatar an opportunity to destroy the Colossus and its spirit canon.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out[]
- While it is unfair to compare to him to characters Katatara, Tenzen, Korra, Aang, and more due to them being more powerful than with bending abilites and he is normal guy without any powers, he still fails the high admirable standards to Suki, who helped hijack a fire nation air fleet sabotage the Ozai's plan to incinerate all of Earth Kingdom and had other active roles to stop Ozai, and Asami, who also helped defeat Kuvira buying using the hummingbird mech to infiltrate Kuvira's mech to help Team Avatar defeat and had more heroic deeds including more goodness crossings. Resources and screentime don't quite help with these 2 characters. Suki is a regular human wth had limited resources and screentime. While Asami has more screentime, she has more heroic deeds within the bounds of the amount of screentime he has. He also had more resources than them during his debut arc where he had access an entire army and many weapons, which he used for mostly his heinous acts. Given his crucial role in Kuvira's defeat with his significant loss of the resources he had in his debut arc, this is a minor prevention.
- He has done a lot of heinous acts where he helped Amon in his goal of getting rid of bending and taking over Republic City. Although he has remorse for his past crimes and redeemed himself with his heroic sacrifice, he spent a relatively short time as a hero and has more heinous deeds than heroic deeds, so he isn't completely forgiven. To make matters worse, he developed nerve gas cannisters, which were intended to be used against benders to badly poison them to death. They were used by Tokuga in the Turf Wars, which happened after Kuvira's defaet. This mean his heinous act had an effect after his redemption.
