This category is for heroes who used to be on this wiki before being approved as Pure Good, Near Pure Good or Inconsistently Admirable, or being removed from the Heroes Wiki.
Former Heroic Benchmarks[]
Heroic Benchmarks that are now Pure Good[]
- Ariel from The Little Mermaid: She was thought to be bog-standard and a jerk sometimes before she subverted those factors and was admirable enough.
- Bambi from the films of his name: He was formerly rejected to be Pure Good and was though for an unknowing reason but he doesn't misuse his screen time at all.
- Luigi from The Super Mario Bros. Movie: He was thought to be too bog-standard before it was revealed he was needed for both him and Mario to get the Power Star and save both the Mushroom Kingdom and Brooklyn. He also subverts his laziness and arrogance at the end.
- Rosalina from Super Mario Bros.: She was thought to have suffered from Fridge Brilliance over her best actions in Super Mario Galaxy, however, new installments such as Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope have her pushed past the standards of the franchise.
- Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon: He was thought to have failed the admirable standards and lacked a moral agency; after it was pointed out he doesn't fail the standards at all, has a clear moral agency, and subverted all of his jerkish moments, he was reconsidered.
Heroic Benchmarks that are now Near Pure Good[]
- Cassie Lang from Marvel Cinematic Universe: Although her actions were thought to be too bog-standard, she did play a major role in stopping Kang by utilizing her accidental teleportation into the Quantum Realm to her advantage.
- DogDay from Poppy Playtime: Was thought to be bog standard and relying on too much Fridge Brilliance until it was pointed out there is enough emphasis he made a big sacrifice in fighting the Prototype and CatNap, even if offscreen and vague.
- Ellie from Ice Age: While she still fails the admirable standards to Manny, Diego and arguably Sid, her actions, such as going to save Sid from dinosaurs alongside others and saving the situation there at least twice while being pregnant, leading the herd to the ground bridge or partaking in saving Earth from the meteorite, undeniably stand out. She also was considered a damsel in distress, but it was found out she wasn't.
- Hank Pym from Marvel Cinematic Universe: While he still does suffer from Fridge Brilliance, he played a huge role in Ant-Man's heroism as well as stripping Kang from his armor.
- Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast: He was thought to be bog-standard, but it was revealed that he was needed to help Belle and the Beast to fall in love to free the kingdom from the curse, as well as playing a major role in saving the whole castle by stopping Gaston and his rioters with less resources.
- Michael Afton from Five Nights at Freddy's: It was thought that his actions were bog-standard and that he was grey squared.
- Mufasa from The Lion King: It was thought that he failed the admirable standards too much but it is revealed that he was why Simba returned to the Pridelands.
- Nico from Rio: He was thought to be bog-standard, but since he was the reason Blu and Jewel were able to escape the marmosets, informing to Blu that Jewel got captured, and taking part in defeating the Big Boss and his Smugglers, he stands out.
- Pepper Potts from Marvel Cinematic Universe: She was thought to be just a bog-standard nice girlfriend, however after Aldrich Killian was approved as Pure Evil and her act of defeating him was admirable enough, she was reapproved here.
- Princess Fiona from Shrek: While she does fail the admirable standards still, her actions such as causing Shrek's redemption, and kissing Shrek before he would disappear, which helped defeat Rumplestiltskin, she at least stood out.
- Stampy Cat from Minecraft: Story Mode: It was thought he was bog-standard and failed the Admirable Standards too harshly. However, he did have an important role in defeating the White Pumpkin, which saved the lives of everyone at the mansion, allowing him to stand out and qualify.
- Sting Eucliffe from Fairy Tail: Although he does still fail the admirable standards, he does at least take a major part in defeating Acnologia. He also changed Sabertooth into a much better place for its members as the new guild master, and saved his friends from Larcade's deadly spell that caused each of them to starve by knocking each of them out (what also helps is that he saved Kagura and Yukino from trying to eat each other).
Heroic Benchmarks that are now Inconsistently Admirable[]
- Bowser Junior from SuperMarioLogan:
- Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast: He was thought to be bog-standard, but it was revealed that he was needed to not only lead the objects into making preparations to have Belle and the Beast fall in love as one of the key steps to undo the curse, but also to save Lumiere from Lefou so they can work together to save the castle by leading the objects into defeating Lefou and the rioters with less resources. Despite this, he is still way too much of an arrogant jerk to be Near Pure Good.
- Darwin Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball:
- Ellie Rose from Henry Stickmin
- Glenn Quagmire from Family Guy: He was thought to be bog-standard until it was revealed that it was untrue when he was reproposed and approved.
- Gregory from Five Nights at Freddy's: He was thought to be bog-standard that his actions paled in that of Glamrock Freddy, but he was approved as IA after a reproposal.
- Harry Osborn from Marvel's Spider-Man:
- Lincoln Loud from The Loud House:
- Manny from Ice Age: It was originally thought that he was far too standard to pass the baseline, but he was proposed and approved as IA when it was pointed out that he saved Earth from getting blown and that he stopped Captain Gutt (who is a NPE villain). Although, Manny still is an extreme jerk and never completely reforms.
- Max Keeble from Max Keeble's Big Move: He saved the animals from being run over by a bulldozer driven by Principal Jindraike. However, he is too mischievous to be Near Pure Good.
- Mettaton from Undertale: His actions were originally thought to be bog-standard. But later on, it was mentioned he tried to save humanity from extermination, something which no one else has ever done.
- Peter Griffin from Family Guy: He was thought to be bog-standard until it was revealed that he does stand out even from Joe and Quagmire with similar resources due to helping navigate a plane to safety among other things.
- Sandy Cheeks from SpongeBob SquarePants: She saved everybody when they were turned realistic in one episode.
- Willy Wonka from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory: While one could argue this is a pure innocence franchise, Willy Wonka genuinely wants to spread happiness around the world with candy and he gave the Oompa Loompas better homes in all of the adaptations.
Heroic Benchmarks that no longer qualify as heroes[]
- Andy Davis from Toy Story: He wasn't aware that toys were sapient, making him just a neutral character.
- Caillou from his titular franchise: He doesn't even do anything remotely heroic. Not to mention, he is a spoiled brat with little redeeming qualities.
- Caleb Wittebane from The Owl House: He only appeared in the flashback sequence and did not do anything heroic otherwise.
- Chuckles from Toy Story: He didn't do anything remotely heroic despite being portrayed as tragic. (If he had ever found out that he indirectly ended Lotso’s terror, he would’ve been a hero, but he doesn’t so he doesn’t qualify).
- Fred from SpongeBob SquarePants: He didn’t do anything remotely heroic.
- Frank Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid: All he does is just be a nice person to his family.
- Every version of Greg Heffley: All of his versions are nice kids at best, and his book version stopping the family from breaking up didn't even save any lives, as he was only solving a family issue. And that version taking the blame for eating the cheese for Rowley is just him being a nice friend.
- General Hux from Star Wars: His "redemption" wasn't even genuine at all, and all of his "heroic actions" were done out of nothing but self serving reasons.
- Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy: He's more of a villain than an actual hero. His actions are acts of kindess.
- Peppa Pig from her titular franchise: She only does act of kindness without doing anything heroic.
- Princess Toadstool from CD-i games: She didn't do anything heroic and just spent the whole game as a damsel in distress.
- Rexy from Jurassic Park: She is just a predator who follows her own natural instincts.
- Shane Walsh from The Walking Dead:
- Trevor Philips from Grand Theft Auto: His villainous deeds outnumber his "heroic" deeds. Plus, the reason he cannot be an Inconsistently Admirable non-hero is because he fails to stand out alongside Michael and Franklin as his best acts are shared with both of them while Michael and Franklin have committed more heroic deeds on their own.
Status Under Debate[]
- Bob from Despicable Me: He is back to Near Pure Good only because his removal had false information inserted.
- Jaq from Cinderella: He was rejected from Pure Good when it was revealed that he still has his mischievous and reckless traits, given the amount of trouble he has caused in the kitchen and when he was not taking the magic wand seriously.
- Sakura Haruno from Naruto: She was removed from Inconsistently Admirable only because her proposal was made by a sockpuppet.
