Fender Pinwheeler (formerly Bumper Pinwheeler) is the deuteragonist of Blue Sky's 2nd full length animated feature film Robots. He is the leader of the Rusties, Piper Pinwheeler's older brother, and Rodney Copperbottom's best friend.
He is voiced by the late Robin Williams.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- He cares deeply about his fellow Rusties, and eventually Rodney when he befriends him, as well as the other outmodes of Robot City.
- He introduced Rodney to the others and accepted him into the Rusties with open arms, encouraging the latter to continue moving forward in his journey.
- He accompanied Rodney to infiltrate the Bigweld Ball, disguising himself as Count Roderick von Brokenzipper's valet.
- In the Chop Shop, he overheard Madame Gasket and Ratchet's plan to destroy the outmodes. After escaping, he warned Rodney, Aunt Fanny, and the other Rusties about the villains' plan.
- He helped in the battle against Madame Gasket, Ratchet, her army, and the new sweepers, hypnotizing and destroying several of the evil outmode's minions with "Hit Me Baby One More Time."
- He celebrated Rodney's victory with the rest of Rivet Town, helping them save Herb's performance.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He badly fails the Admirable Standard to Rodney, who started a revolution to save the outmodes from Ratchet and Madame Gasket's plan, and Bigweld, who founded a company based on allowing new ideas to "shine no matter what [their originators] are made of."
- He even fails the standard to his own sister, who went out of her way to rally an entire army of outmodes for the battle, allowing her to stand out.
- He and Diesel tried to scam Rodney when he first met him, charging him 50 dollars for a photo.
- He is prone to making selfish and reckless decisions at times, like when he tried to steal Rodney's foot when the latter was knocked out, singing "I'm a Little Teapot" while unscrewing the foot and trying to justify his action as him being a "scrounger." The two robots fought over this foot.
