Elisa Maza (Gargoyles)

Elisa Maza is the human main protagonist of the Gargoyles series, she is a NYPD detective and the only human ally and friend of Goliath and his clan.

She was voiced by Salli Richardson-Whitfield.

In the opening of the series she's the only detective to investigate what happened at Xanatos's building after pieces of stone fell from his skyscraper endangering the NYC streets below before meeting the Gargoyles.
She made friends with Goliath and his clan the moment they met.
She protects Goliath when he is stone from the genutech guards.
She warns Goliath that Xanatos is using them.
She stops Demona from killing Goliath.
She stops Goliath from dropping Xanatos to his death and has Xanatos arrested for stolen property.
She broke the spell Demona had on Goliath's mind.
She warns Goliath that they are not safe in the castle, and she gets them to safe place to live above the Police Station, the Clock tower, where she protects and hides them from the rest of the world.
She would regularly bring goods to the Gargoyles like a television, etc.
She aids the Gargoyles when protecting the city.
She took down Manhattan's biggest crime lord Tony Dracon.
She forgives Broadway for accidently shooting her with her own gun and takes the blame for not hiding it.
She constantly warns her brother Derek of Xanatos.
She rescued Coldstone and the rest of the kidnapped Gargoyles from Macbeth and Demona.
She accompanies Goliath, Tom and Bronx to Avalon to help the Avalon clan fight The Archmage.
She is the one to Awaken King Arthur to help with the fight.
When she was being prosecuted in Olympus for being a human, she never became resentful towards the Olympians.
She purposely led Taurus up to Proteus so he'll stop him from blowing up Olympus.
She tried to stop Demona and Macbeth from killing each other in Paris.
While she originally kept the Gargoyles to herself to feel special, she later subverts this as she lets Matt Bluestone meet them.
She Saves Broadway from falling to his death while he was stone during the day.
She saves Angelas life via CPR after the battle against the Hunters.
She convinced Jason that Goliath and his clan were not the enemy.
She told Goliath about Demona's virus attack and told him to stop her while she looks after Jason after their battle.

Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]

She fails the admirable standards to Goliath, as he has constantly saved the whole world from foes such as Demona, Dingo who helped Goliath stop Matrix from destroying the world, and Taurus who stopped Proteus from blowing up Olympus; although if it wasn't for her leading him up to Proteus while he was chasing her, he wouldn't have, making this a minor prevention.
