Edith Gru is one of the three deuteragonists (alongside Margo and Agnes) of the Despicable Me franchise.
She is a mischievous and tomboyish 9-year-old girl and one of the three orphan sisters who have been adopted by Gru. She later becomes the adoptive daughter of Gru's wife, Lucy Wilde and the second-oldest sister to their biological son Gru Junior.
She is voiced by Dana Gaier.

Her Heroic Deeds[]
- As an orphan of Mrs. Hattie's, she helps deliver cookies to neighbors.
- She kicks Mr. Gru's door for pretending to be a recorded message, which was extremely villainous of him.
- She makes Mrs. Hattie a mud pie in hopes of getting herself and her sisters adopted.
- Along with her sisters, she suggested Gru to go to the Super Silly Fun Land out of longing to be somewhere fun, which played a role in his redemption in the long run.
- She helps Agnes get a new toy unicorn.
- She dances again for Gru after he saves her from Vector and encourages him to dance along with them.
- She showed a lot of shock over Vector being permanently stuck on the moon even though he tried to kill her earlier.
- During Agnes's birthday party, she helps set up the magic tricks.
- She helps Gru cure all of the Evil Minions.
- She helps Agnes find a unicorn after she sold her toy one.
- At the end of the third movie, she accepted Lucy as her mother.
- She gives the Minion Scouts their badges after they failed to get them.
- She immediately takes to liking her undercover name, Blair, and takes it very seriously when relocated to avoid Maxime Le Mal.
- While ruthless, she rightfully defends Agnes from a strict sensei who is being harsh on Agnes.
- She, along with her sisters, fights against Principal Übelschlecht who is attacking Gru and Lucy.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Despite passing the general baseline by getting herself and her sisters adapted, curing the minions, & defending her parents, she primarily relies on supportive heroism because her actions are only amounts to those that do not fail to stand out.
- Like her adoptive father, Gru, she is an extremely mischievous, sadistic, and inconsiderate jerk:
- She splashes water onto Margo and Agnes and claims she is 'just walking' as an excuse.
- She intentionally tries to scare Agnes by praying for no supernatural brain worms during their quiet time.
- As soon as she enters Gru's house for the first time, she intentionally breaks one of Gru's potions as her destructive nature starts to show.
- She destroys Agnes's first unicorn with a laser. While this was an accident, she showed minimal remorse over it and even lets Gru berate Agnes for caring too much about her toy.
- She kicks Dr. Nefario's leg after being told one of the potions can explode if she drinks it.
- She disrupts Gru's meeting with Mr. Perkins and even has him frozen with his own Freeze Ray.
- She steals coins from the wishing well at the mall, knowing full well that it is wrong.
- She most likely snuck a water gun in Gru's jacket during his first fight against Balthazar Bratt. While she would not know what kind of mission Gru was going to face, it would endanger her father's life.
- She most likely was the one who interfered with Gru when he was at work by calling him at the wrong time.
- She constantly treats Fritz like a punching bag.
- Overall, she constantly displays a very crude sense of humor through her pranks.
