“ | I'm not a bad person. Driven--almost driven mad by my work, but only because I knew what I was doing was right--that the ends justifies the means. I regret what I had to do, but I find comfort in the knowledge that it had to be done--in the end, I was right. | „ |

~ D.A. Sinclair decides to defy Rudolph Conners. |
D.A. Sinclair is a recurring antagonist turned supporting protagonist in the Image comic book series Invincible. D.A. Sinclair is a scientist who used to turn people into Reanimen robots to evolve humanity in his own twisted way before he is defeated by Invincible. After being defeated by the Invincible, D.A. Sinclair is taken as a prisoner of the Global Defense Agency and is offered a job by Cecil Stedman. D.A. Sinclair accepts is job as a scientist for the Global Defense Agency and reforms from his evil ways.
His Goodness Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- D.A. Sinclair initially starts off as a villainous delusional scientist that experiments on people and turns them into Reanimen robots before he learns of his mistakes and works to atone for his crimes.
- Working under Cecil Stedman and building Reanimen soldiers from corpses to protect the world from super villainous threats.
- While he initially started off as a hero by proxy for only working with Cecil Stedman to pay off his crimes, D.A. Sinclair eventually becomes a genuine hero by apologizing to Invincible and promising to atone for his crimes through working with the Global Defense Agency.
- He went against Robot and rescued several imprisoned heroes which eventually led to a truce between both parties.
- He turned Robot into a brain in a jar at Invincible’s request so Robot would still be able to advise Earth’s new ruler, the Immortal, without the risk of him turning Earth back into an authoritarian dystopia.
Why He Doesn't Stand out[]
- Although he felt remorse for them, his prior crimes are too heinous to ignore as he subjected Rick Sheridan and multiple innocent homeless people to the fate worse than death of becoming Reanimen.
- He only directly helps out in a significant way once in the entire series, when he helps the captured heroes escape from Robot's prison. All of the other times were just his Reanimen doing all of the work on Cecil's command. This means he fails the standard to Powerplex, another villain turned hero who did much more than him with less resources. The same can be said for Rudolph Conners (Alternate) who managed to save his dimension from the Viltrumite Empire by having his body be cloned in Invincible's body while D.A. Sinclair heroic acts centers mostly around Cecil Stedman using his Reanimen robots.
