Copper is a hound dog and the deuteragonist of The Fox and the Hound and its 2006 midquel. He is the best friend of Tod, the pet of Amos Slade and the son of dixie and cash somewhat "student" of Amos' other dog Chief. He is voiced by Corey Feldman as a pup, Kurt Russell as an adult and Harrison Fahn in the midquel.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- As a child, he immediately became friends with the little fox Tod. He continued to play with him even despite the ban from his master Amos.
- He proved himself to be a competent gundog, no less a competent gundog than his mentor, Chief.
- When, already as an adult, he again meets his childhood friend Tod (at that time an adult fox), he honestly warns that they better stop communicating.
- He forgives Tod after he saves him and Amos from the bear and even shields him when Amos points his gun at him allowing him to pass the general baseline.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- He couldn't save Amos from the bear. That's why he fails admirable standards to Tod, who defeated that bear.
- Seeing his mentor Chief wounded, he blames Tod for what happened, although he knows perfectly well that he is not to blame for anything. What makes the situation even worse, he even tries to kill Tod, although he knows full well that the reason why he wants to kill his (at that time ex-) best friend is completely flimsy. Although he later reconciles with Tod, it’s still too much for a Near Pure Good hero.
