~ Bowser Jr. to his father in Super Mario Sunshine |
Bowser Jr. is the secondary antagonist of the Mario franchise.
He is Bowser's son from an unknown mother that always helps Bowser in his evil schemes. Although normally a villain, like his father Bowser, he will sometimes team up with Mario and Luigi against bigger foes.
He was voiced by Dolores Rogers in Super Mario Sunshine up until his appearance in Mario Party DS, and is currently voiced by Caety Sagoian in the entire franchise since Mario Strikers Charged.
His Good Ranking[]
His Heroic Deeds[]
- Even in his villainous roles, he has a very strong bond with Bowser and always acts friendly towards his enemies.
- After losing to Mario's team twice in baseball, he convinces Bowser to join Mario's crew for a celebration, showing that he wanted to make peace with Mario while in the Baseball Kingdom.
- He genuinely loves his dad Bowser and always wants to impress him. Examples of this include fighting against him in Mario Party: Island Tour and defeating his own forces with the help of other Koopalings in Mario & Luigi: Bowser Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey.
- When he's not doing evil, he tags along with Mario and his gang for sports and racing even being a good sport.
- In Mario Party DS, he and Bowser make peace with their foes and play Triangle Twister Together.
- He will always give the player their stars if you beat him in Mario Party 9 minigames showing good sportsmenship.
- In the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls guide, Bowser Jr. always shuts off his switch when time is up. It's also confirmed in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle that he takes responsibility of other chores too, such as his homework.
- In Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, when the MegaBug fuses with Bowser he gets the heroes to help him free his father.
- In Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, with the help of his nemesis Mario, he saves Lake Lapcat from Fury Bowser and turns him back to normal.
- In Dr. Mario World, he helps Mario, Bowser and Peach cure the viruses across the Mushroom Kingdom.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While he cannot be compared to Mario and Luigi as they have more resources than him due to the power ups they have access to, he still fails the admirable standard compared to Donkey Kong, Wario and even his own dad, Bowser, since they have less resources than him and still have done a lot more heroic deeds than him. His resources don’t help as he has a full army at his disposal, but he does not take advantage of his resources and all he really does is try to impress his father.
- His best act revolves around turning Bowser and Lake Lapcat back to normal, which suffers from fridge brilliance since it’s not known if Fury Bowser was going to attack a lot of people nor that Bowser was stuck in a fate worse than death. Not to mention, this was self-serving since he only did this to save his dad and not for the well-being of Lake Lapcat in general.
- His second best act, stopping the Best Fitness Friends, helps him pass the baseline, but it is still not admirable enough due to them only being lower-scaled villains.
- Lastly, his third best act, saving the Mushroom Kingdom from viruses, is shared with Mario and Peach.
- Just like Bowser, he is On & Off as he is normally a villain who helps his father kidnap Peach and tries to kill Mario numerous times.
- He has many moments where he acts spoiled and bratty due to being raised as the prince of the Koopa Kingdom.
- He throws unnecessary tantrums and lashes out at other people if he faced failures.
- He is an egotist because he believes to be the best and will always resort to cheating towards his advantage.
- He acts like a jerk towards Larry by rudely telling him to get off the floor and try to save Bowser from being crushed by his own castle.
- He is mischievous since he played a prank on Bowser by painting him, which was what made him turn into Fury Bowser.
- He intends to use Spawny abilities to create Rabbid copies of the Mushroom Kingdom characters to create an army to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom to impress his father after returning to his vacation.
- He takes over various baseball stadiums out of spite for having not been invited and even kidnaps Peach and tiny Kong.
