Big the Cat is a supporting character in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is a large, purple, anthropomorphic cat who enjoys fishing, and is easygoing and slightly dimwitted character despite his super strength and imposing appearance.

He is voiced by Takashi Nagasako in Japanese and Kyle Hebert in English. He was also voiced by the late Shun Yashiro in Japanese from 1999-2000; Jon St. John in English from 1999-2009; Oliver Wyman in Sonic X, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, and LEGO: Dimensions; and Ian Hanlin in Sonic Prime.

He saved Froggy from Chaos 6 and took him back to the Mystic Ruins.

He joined Amy, Cream, and Cheese on their mission to save Chocola and Froggy from Eggman.
He helped Team Dark and Team Chaotix fight Neo Metal Sonic in his Metal Madness form to buy Team Sonic time to prepare themselves.

Team Sonic Racing[]

He changed everyone's opinion on Dodon Pa, whom they suspected was working with Eggman, by pointing out that the tanuki works with Wisps (who only work with nice people).
He helped the rest of the heroes defeat the Death Egg in a race.

Why Doesn't He Stand 0ut?[]

He fails the High Admirable Standard to many other heroes who do more, whilst he has played a crucial role in saving the world and it lets him pass the baseline, this is something lots of other characters do.
