Augustin Halbert is the overarching protagonist of the Nexo Knights series. Once an ordinary farmer, he rose up to become a warrior who founded the Order of the Eight to free his land from the evil monsters that ruled it. After defeating the monsters, he founded the kingdom of Knighton and became its first king.

- Having lived at a time when the land that would become Knighton was ravaged by monsters, dragons and other evil creatures, he assembled the Order of the Eight to fight against them.
- He led his order into battle against the monsters that plagued his land and ultimately defeated them, allowing human residents to live in peace.
- While most of the Order's battles remain off-page, their battle against Brownwater Brood is depicted in an illustration, meaning that there's an established pattern in Augustin's heroism.
- He and his fellow knights wrote down the Knight's Code, intending to share their knowledge of combat and chivalry with future generations of heroes.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out[]
- While he passes the baseline by freeing his compatriots from the yoke of monsters, this action relies heavily on Fridge Brilliance, as it's unknown if the monsters intended to wipe out humans back then or were merely oppressing and/or harassing them, and thus he fails the standards to the Nexo Knights, including his own descendant Macy, and their allies, who saved the entire kingdom of Knighton from being destroyed by Monstrox.
