Trees, they produce fresh air.
~ Audrey

Audrey is the tritagonist of Illumination's 3rd full-length animated feature film The Lorax, an adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book of the same name.

She is the 16-year-old next-door neighbor of Ted Wiggins who dreams of having legitimate trees be planted within their shared residence of Thneedville, which also conflicts with Aloysius O'Hare's artificial oxygen business. Through this, Ted was aspired to do so, where it involves the need of the Once-Ler's help. She also becomes Ted's love interest.

She was voiced by singer Taylor Swift, who ironically has no singing parts during the movie itself.

Her Good Ranking[]

Her Heroic Deeds[]

  • She is a dedicated environmentalist who knows about the Truffla Trees despite them being extinct and dreams of having real trees planted within Thneedville rather than having to constantly buy fresh air from the greedy Mayor Aloysius O'Hare.
  • She shares with Ted her passion for trees and tells him that she wants to see a "real tree" more than anything in the world, which motivates Ted to find one in order to impress her, resulting in him leaving Thneedville and seeking out the Once-ler, although Ted would soon change his motive for planting a tree into being for the benefit of everyone after the Once-ler told his story and gave Ted the last Truffla seed.
  • She agrees to help Ted plant the last Truffla seed in order to make others care about real trees once more, and assists him with evading O'Hare, who is determined to stop Ted from planting the seed in the town center.
  • When O'Hare tries to convince the citizens of Thneedville that trees are bad, she tells them that trees provide oxygen and reminds them of photosynthesis.
  • She ensures that Ted successfully plants the last Truffla seed, having become very impressed by Ted's determination to fix things in Thneedville and bringing back trees.
  • She kisses Ted on the cheek for his rightful efforts in helping plant a real tree, with him finally having won over her heart.
  • Thanks to her assistance with Ted's actions, the world became normal again with the Truffla Trees regrowing in their rightful place and nature returning to normal, and now everyone in Thneedville could live without paying for fresh air.
  • Overall, her positive influence on Ted is what motivates him to go down the rightful path of reminding Thneedville of the importance of nature by planting the Truffla seed, as well as reform out of his initial motive of planting said seed just to impress her.

Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]

  • While she passes the baseline due to helping Ted with successfully planting the last Truffla seed and saving the world, she fails the admirable standard to Ted himself since them planting the tree together and the benefits resulting from it was a shared effort.
