Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna "Anya" Romanova (Russian: Анастасия Николаевна Романова) is the titular main protagonist of the 1997 animated film of the same name. She is the youngest daughter of Czar Nicholas II and Empress Alexandra and the only Romanov family member to survive Rasputin's attack.
She was voiced by Kirsten Dunst as a child, Meg Ryan as a young adult, and Lacey Chabert in her singing voice.

- She went on a quest to find her grandmother who were missing for years.
- She cared for her family very much.
- Befriended a dog named Pooka.
- Refused to stop until her family was found and kept going.
- She proved she was the Grand Duchess by mentioning a boy saved her at the palace 10 years ago.
- Although she got into fights with Dimitri at first, it was because Dimitri was an arrogant jerk at first.
- She worked together with Dimitri to get off the train that was on fire by lighting a dynamite to disconnect themselves from the train.
- Although she was angry with Dimitri and slapped him, it was because he lied to her and used her to get her grandmother's money.
- Shows her grandmother the necklace she gave her and plays the music box, making her grandmother regain memories of her.
- She faces her fear of Rasputin and says she's not afraid of him anymore and battles him.
- She destroys Rasputin's reliquary, killing Rasputin, avenging her family and Dimitri (whom she thought have died).
- She revives Dimitri and makes up with him after he lied to her and marries him.
- She has no corrupting factors.
Why She Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- She does not breech the baseline as all she did was survive to see her grandmother and never really saved anyone else aside from her three companions.
- She fails the admirable standards to Bartok who saved an entire castle town from burning to the ground with lesser resources.
Trivia[]
- Ironically, she was originally approved as Pure Good due to her righteous justice on Rasputin. But it later turned out her heroism was exaggerated and never really breeched the baseline along with failing the admirable standards to Bartok, so she was removed.
- Jessica Guilder from the fanfiction The offspring had Anastasia as inspiration for her characteristics.
