The 11th Commander is a minor character in the manga and anime Attack on Titan, he was a former commander of the Survey Corps who preceded Keith Shadis.

- He was a former commander of the Survey Corps, meaning that he acted as the leading figure in multiple expeditions to help humanity against the Titans luring outside the Walls.
- He was successful in creating humanities first base outside the Walls, which allowed the Survey Corps to not have to rely on returning to the Walls for supplies.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He heavily fails the admirable standards to many other characters who act on much smaller recourses, mainly because the 11th commander was a highest-ranking member in the Survey Corps, yet his exact contributions to the organization he was leading is mostly unknown. This also includes the base outside the Walls, while clear that its eventual destruction was very damaging for the Survey Corps, not enough information was given to how much it truly contributed on a larger scale.
- Even more so, he was implied to be incompetent as he was criticized by many government executives for the lackluster results he obtained during the expeditions, something that his own subordinate Keith Shadis secretly agreed with. This eventually turned into a motivation for Keith to become the new commander.
- He was minor character that was never seen once seen speaking, making him lack proper characterization.
